I mused about the idea of the TV being the last major bastion of Apple’s domination over the home, or at least the living room. A completely unified system between the computer in the corner (a Mac – and imagine how integrated 10.8 could be with even more iOS-like systems), your handheld iOS device (iPhone, iPod) and your iPad.
It feels like a rather uncomplicated move for Apple. AppleTV, in its current form, is selling very well by all accounts, proving to Tim Cooke that the living room is a worthy place to go. After that, Apple can easily iterate with “next gen” Apple television sets, games consoles and so on…
