A year after starting an experiment to ditch his MacBook and work exclusively from an iPad, we have a really revealing and interesting look at how life is in the mobile lane from Mark O’Connor.

It’s a very interesting look at how the iPad, once thought as a consuming device, can be used as a dedicated one-stop shop for programmers.

Of course he does bring up the elephant in the room, the potential of Windows mobile and the Surface. He addresses it quite quickly as part of his experiment and does think Microsoft is the future, which I can’t agree with in any way. However, this cloud-connected mobile future doesn’t look so bad right now. I wonder if any programmers I know would consider the challenge?
