So, for whatever reason, Instagram feels that live filters aren’t a part of the best experience it can provide. And it appears that they’ll be ‘phased out’ in future versions of the app
I’m not sure what they’re doing. Gruber reckons the issue is that as Instagram moves into new platforms it needs to simplify its process. More likely, though, is that their new overlords at Facebook are trying to cater to the lowest common denominator.
Time for EyeEm or someone else to step in and take their place.
