TechCrunch posted a stats-heavy article about Facebook being more popular on Android, “finally”.

The figures aren’t really reflective of anything. Though the article does admit that Facebook as an app garnishes more users on iOS than Android, but more people revisit the app daily on Android than iOS. This proves one thing and one thing only: Android users are probably younger. Why? Because there are far more sub-€200 Android phones than iOS phones (or devices).

Though even that argument is flawed. iOS could just have better apps to draw people away from just using Facebook everyday. iOS might actually be drawing people into Twitter more because it’s better integrated into iOS.

What nullifies the article entirely is the suggestion that people might pick a phone based on which platform is best to use Facebook. Really, TechCrunch ? Really?
