3fE in Dublin has two large trophies from the World Barista Championships
This is all you need to write to get me to link to a post. I’m Googles dream SEO machine.
I was in 3FE just today, sipping on a nice flat white with someone I had never met before in the quiet comfortable surroundings. Paying a fair price for unreal coffee that was dished out by pure professionals. No shit here. Only the best.
For those who like, and love, top end technology, I’ve found there to be a direct link to coffee culture. Sure, we can joke that you couldn’t be seen in a StarBucks without an Apple icon on your laptop, but we’re talking high end, proper coffee here.
3FE epitomises this culture in Dublin. It’s award winning, beautiful, finely crafted coffee in an equally plush surrounding. At night, the 3FE near my house becomes a night club with smooth dance music piercing the brisk night air – mere feet from a trashy nightclub.
It’s not the only example of a fancy place to sip on coffee over a meeting with friends, or in my case today, new friends via the Internet. There are many like it. But every time I go, it’s with people who appreciate high end technology. Whether or not they buy into it is one thing, but the discussion around it is always prevalent. It’s something I’ve come to love about coffee shops in the city. The discussion about this stuff is just as good as the stuff itself. It’s also a great place to hash out ideas, new or old, fix the worlds problems or just do nothing and bask in the glorious ambiance of middle class European culture.
Of course my kitchen boasts a lovely Nespresso machine (which is in dire need of new capsules to adorn the carry-case I have next to it) which keeps me going day-to-day, but the ambiance of 3FE and similar bear no comparison. Not even the Parisians could boast such opulent lives.
