Many months ago, myself and many others commented on jailbreaker extraordinaire Comex landing an internship at Apple as a programmer.
It now appears that internship has ended, and so has Comex’s time at Apple.
Apple offered Allegra an internship, which he accepted because he was on leave from school and bored with jailbreaking. According to a recent tweet he sent out, that internship has ended. The reason? Failure to respond to an offer to extend his employment, as well as other reasons which the hacker declined to discus.
Jason Smith commented…
I wonder if Apple made him sign something up front that forbad Allegra from ever jailbreaking again.
The issue here is that anyone who fails to respond to anything in a corporate environment, especially HR requests to extend contractual terms, isn’t going to do well. Not responding sends out an apathetic and lazy message. Especially in corporate America!
Neither Comex or Apple have responded to requests from any media outlet. Apple won’t, as it would be suicide to comment on an individuals’ case with HR, but Comex has ignored all requests to comment other than to merely tweet the news in no great detail, as is his prerogative. Perhaps more importantly for the community at large, he hasn’t yet stated whether he will or won’t dive back into jailbreaking.
